Jewish Community Celebrates Sukkot

WMBD/WYZZ - PEORIA -- It's less well-known than other Jewish holidays- Sukkot.- but the Chabad of Peoria Jewish Center celebrated in traditional fashion today.
Sukkot commemorates the protective clouds that surrounded the Jewish nation as they wandered in the desert. The celebration was complete with Jewish music, entertainment, and plenty of food.
It's important that people know about the Jewish holidy and Sukkot is one of those holidays that people are maybe not sure about. They know Yom Kippur, but Sukkot gets lost between the cracks,” Rabbi Eli Langsam said.
The Chabad Jewish Center in Peoria is branch of an international organization that has over 4,500 centers around the world.
